We did not invent this in a lab. We made it for the people in our clinic.
NubRub started with a decade of hearing the same three sentences from patients: it rubs, it burns, and it smells. We watched people with perfectly good fittings still dread putting their leg on, because the skin underneath never got a break.
So we built the thing we kept wishing existed. Coconut oil, beeswax, lanolin and meadowfoam seed oil — a short, honest ingredient list that creates a breathable barrier instead of a greasy one, with an essential oil blend that goes after odor instead of covering it up.
We are an O&P practitioner and an amputee. One of us fits the socket; the other one has to wear it. That combination is the whole reason this formula works, and it is the reason we will not put our name on anything that only looks good on a label.
NubRub is made in small batches in Jacksonville, Florida. 10% of all profits go to amputee programs.
